oh hey there!

ummm...so it's been a hot minute since i actually blogged.
but listen.  there's a sketch challenge up at paper issues, and i would do just about anything for the chance to win $$ towards some scrappy goodness.

here's the challenge sketch...

and here's my take on it...

i have to tell you...it's been a while since i've actually sat down and scrapped a full page.  not just organize supplies.  not just sort pics.  not make a project life layout.  but an honest-to-goodness layout.  it. felt. good.

life has been crazy busy, and i've had to make some decisions about my priorities.  one of those decisions was to say no to more of the extras and say yes to myself.  so, fingers crossed, i'll be scrapping, crafting, and creating and sharing more of what makes me happy here on my old neglected blog.

thanks for stopping by!

this year...

seems to be flying by already.
i've been super busy at school.  i'm currently on spring break...and loving it!
here's what we've been up to so far in 2013...

arranging clean, fresh vignettes around the house...

dressing up...

making silly faces...

taking weekend getaways with the hubby...

super bowl parties with great friends...

wishing (desperately) for a snow day...

and then getting storm...

after storm...

after storm...

getting flowers and trying to force spring...

getting the elusive raskog cart...

and putting it to good use...

shopping for carpet and rearranging the spare room (after i reorganized all my scrap stuff, of course)...

playing store...

playing (utterly offensive and hilarious) games...

giving makeovers...

trying new hairstyles...

and reading to our stuffed friends...

benson...the sequel

on december 1st, we were happy to welcome back our north pole elf, benson.

he left a note on the chalkboard that read "hi girls! I'm baaack!!"

he made the most of his time with us this year.
just hanging out...

chatting with friends...

vandalizing our calendar with graffiti...

going on reindeer rides...

one morning, we caught him before he had time to send off his north pole report.

he painted our goldfish christmas colors...

spent some time schmoozing the ladies...

made some...ummm...snowmallows? marshmen?...

he fashioned a blanket and sleep mask out of wrapping paper and slept IN the tree...

did some bungee jumping...

got into the buckeye spirit with his friends...O-H!

got into trouble for using my instax camera to snap pics of his friends...(that film's not cheap benson!)

scared the bejeezus out of me by acting like spiderman...

hid a box of candy canes for the girls to find (which they found before i was even out of bed)...

and, on his last night, he left a sweet goodbye note for the girls so they would know they had redeemed themselves...
